“And upon your splendid return, the Battercod Lubricate Company will award you fine folks one-tenth of the profits. Easy as fish pie … if you’ll pardon the pun.
Just sign here. And here.”

The PCs have been tasked by the Battercod Lubricate Company to reclaim a ship locked among the frozen waves of the Jetty Sheets, in the seas north of Dreckgullard’s Desolation. Should they take the ship and wait out the thaw (most likely 1-3 months), they’ll be rewarded with one-tenth of the cargo’s worth (enough to set them up for life).

Act I
The first act of this scenario consists of the hike across the ice—along the corpse trail—  in order to reach the ship. Mechanically, it is a series of random events ranging from dangerous to deadly.

Act II
The second act concerns the reclaiming of the Ichabod Noster. The PCs will have to find a way aboard and make sure the ship and its cargo is safe. Mechanically, it is most similar to a dungeon crawl. If you’re playing this scenario as a one-shot, Act II is the act to run.

Act III
There is no third act.

Corpse Trail to Hell is an official supplement adventure for Frontier Scum, written and designed by Karl Druid. A brutal frozen-horror expedition across the corpse-strewn Jetty Sheets, where players are sent to reclaim an icebound whaling ship before the endless winter entombing it consumes them too. Inspired by the likes of The Terror and The Revenant.
