A New Glorious Boxset

What is The Job?

The Job is a fast-paced, no-nonsense RPG about pulling off legendary heists with style… or going down in a blaze of absolute, 100% memorable failure. You and your crew of specialized criminals will plan the perfect caper, dodge laser grids, sweet-talk security, and improvise when (not if) things go south. Think fast, move faster, and whatever you do—don’t drop the stack.

Created by Andre Novoa, The Job is a Games Omnivorous production published by Exalted Funeral. The game features a two-phase original gameplay, where the players first have to collectively devise their glorious plan, then pass it along to the Referee, who will run whatever they wrote for them. This second phase is played with teetering dice stack. Naturally, that's when all hell breaks loose.

  • Brief

The Referee hands it over, then backs off. One target, one location, one budget, and six nasty complications.

  • Prep Phase

Plan the heist by breaking it down into 12 daring scenes. Be bold. Be absurd. Whatever you do, don’t play it safe.

  • Vintage-style illustration of a person operating a large camera on a tripod.

    Action Phase

Time to play it out. Run the crew through the scenes, improvise hard, and watch the plan bend or break.

  • Dice Stack

Keep it standing and you might just pull off the perfect heist. Let it fall three times — you lose. Game over.
