Flail License

This licence allows anyone to create and publish independent content for FLAIL and its compatible settings and supplements, including Undying Sands, Bottled Sea, Boreal Frostlands and Hexcrawl Toolbox.

You may publish your work for free or sell it commercially without express permission from Andre Novoa or Games Omnivorous, provided that you follow this licence.

1. Permission

You may use, copy, reference, adapt and expand upon the rules, mechanics, terminology, templates, random tables, creatures, characters, locations and factions found in the licensed products.

You may publish your work in any format, including books, zines, pamphlets, PDFs, websites, VTT implementations, generators, applications and other digital tools.

You must use the relevant compatibility logo(s) made publicly available by Games Omnivorous to identify your work as compatible with one or more of the licensed products. The logo(s) may not be altered or used to suggest that your work is official, approved or endorsed by Games Omnivorous.

2. Restrictions

You may not copy, translate, adapt or redistribute the artwork from the licensed products.

You may not copy, translate, adapt or redistribute the written prose of the licensed products, including introductions, descriptions, adventure text and setting text, except for rules text, random tables, table entries, terminology and other game content covered by the Permission section.

You may not use any official Games Omnivorous, FLAIL, Undying Sands, Bottled Sea, Boreal Frostlands or Hexcrawl Toolbox logos.

You may not use the names of the licensed products as your own product title, company name or publishing imprint, or imply that your work is official, approved, endorsed or published by Games Omnivorous.

You may not reproduce or redistribute an entire licensed product or create a replacement for one.

3. Required Notice

The following text must appear in your publication and wherever your product is promoted or sold:

[Product Name] is an independent production by [Author or Publisher] and is not affiliated with Games Omnivorous. It is published under the Games Omnivorous Third-Party Licence.

Your publication must also include:

[Our Product] is copyright of Games Omnivorous.

Your original contributions remain your property. Games Omnivorous retains ownership of its original content, artwork, trademarks, logos, templates and layout guide.

Games Omnivorous does not approve, endorse or take responsibility for products published under this licence or for any claims arising from them.
