Mausritter Month
Mausritter Month is a curated crowdfunding event sponsored by BackerKit. It will feature an entirely new official campaign boxset for Mausritter, Junk City, designed by Losing Games and Games Omnivorous, and published by Exalted Funeral. It will also feature and spotlight Mausritter third-party creators with projects of their own. For the month of November 2025, participating campaigns will launch side by side on BackerKit, giving fans a one-stop opportunity to discover and support a swarm of exciting new Mausritter products.
What are we looking for?
We encourage creators to pitch whatever they're excited about - a new adventure, a micro-setting, a bestiary, a toolbox, a collection of items, or something completely new and unexpected. It could even be an already published supplement that never got a proper print-run and now's the time to do it. Projects can range in scope from a full-scale boxset to a small 20-page zine. Just make sure it's feasible before applying. Make sure you have a solid work plan or timeline in place before committing to the project. If you're selected, you will be asked to create, manage and run your own crowd-funding campaign. Please check the Mausritter content guideline and third-party license here.
Why apply?
While you'll be responsible for creating and running your own crowdfunding campaign, your project will be part of a coordinated month-long event — with visibility, momentum, and community support. Mausritter’s community is what makes it work as a game, and we want to highlight and support the amazing work of community creators in a new way.
Plus, you won’t be going alone. BackerKit will provide guidance, tools, and platform support to help you launch. Fellow creators will be collaborating, cross-promoting, and sharing knowledge along the way.
And if you need help with the logistics — such as printing, fulfillment, or distribution — we can connect you with trusted partners.
Who is eligible?
Anyone can apply! Mausritter Month is open to everyone.
Selection will focus on creators who have demonstrated they can successfully deliver quality content. We’re especially looking for:
- Creators with a proven track record of delivering quality content.
- Teams or individuals who understand how to plan, manage, and deliver on a campaign.
- Active voices in the RPG scene with a history of engaging with the community
- Folks who have already contributed to the Mausritter ecosystem.
- Experienced creators from other RPGs who are excited to dive into Mausritter for the first time.
- Diverse voices who can bring new perspectives to the world of Mausritter.
Don’t worry — even if your project isn’t chosen for the main event, we still want you to be part of Mausritter Month.
We’ll be highlighting creators and community projects all throughout November. Plus, we’re planning a game jam to showcase unselected submissions and smaller-scale ideas. There’ll be plenty of ways to share your work, and connect with the community.
